This Wednesday, Tropical Wave #23 is expected to move into the country during the early morning hours. It is forecast to enhance rainfall and maintain extensive cloud cover over the Northern Caribbean and the Northern Zone, especially during the early morning and morning, and to a lesser extent over the mountains of the Central Valley and coastal areas of the Southern Caribbean. During the afternoon, the potential for showers and thunderstorms, with isolated lightning, will be mainly confined to the mountainous areas of the Central Pacific and South Pacific. Additionally, accelerated trade winds will continue. In combination with the passage of the tropical wave, they will promote windy conditions over the mountain ranges of the country, the Central Valley, the North Pacific, and the lowlands of the Northern Zone. Sustained winds of 15 to 30 km/h are expected, with gusts of 30 to 60 km/h and maximum gusts of 70 to 95 km/h, especially over the mountain ranges and northern Guanacaste.
